Aussies have owned us since 1988. We purchased our first show prospect in 1990. We had our first litter of pups in 1993. Three pups from the first litter finished their AKC Championships between 11 & 17 months of age with very limited showing ( 4 weekends or less ) .
I generally plan a couple of litters each year, primarily to get a new competition puppy for myself. I plan my litters around the attributes of the sire & dam and their genetic backgrounds. Dogs selected in our breeding program are physically sound & have temperaments that are within the breed standard. Paying close attention to the genetics within bloodlines, I have outcrossed & linebred. I have health certifications & screenings done on my dogs . Some of my dogs have not been bred until they have reached an older age ( 5 + ) to ensure that they have remained healthy & vital and would make a good contribution to the breeding pool.
I have also concentrated on traits which would allow me to compete in a show ring ( movement & structure ), but the overall health & functionality of the Aussie is of primary concern.
My puppies have their eyes dilated & examined at about 7 weeks of age. They also have a vet check up & first vaccinations at this time. Generally, they are ready to go to their new homes at about eight weeks of age.
My puppies & dogs are sold with a written money - back health and temperament guarantee. Any of my dogs or puppies may be returned & should never be given away or sold without my prior consent.
Occasionally an older pup or dog is already spayed or neutered and ready to settle in & enjoy their new home. If this procedure has not yet been done, a clause in my written guarantee will include an agreement for doing so.
Placing pups into 'show homes' is not a top priority for me. Some pups do need more active homes and so I try to place these pups appropriately, but overall, my main concern is that they get good 'forever' homes. I may, on occasion, place a dog or pup on a co-own with a breeding agreement ...... but you must provide references or come recommended by a responsible source.
Please take the time to familiarize yourself with the history and overall traits of an Aussie. Aussies require lots of attention and you should be sure you have the time to
